You are here: Rv-PartsPlus > Home > Product_tests > SMI_Stay_In_Play > Stay-In-Play Look at what our SMI satisfied buyers are saying: Love the Stay-IN-Play. It worked great for our Northeast trip and for once I can truly say that "my peace of mind" has finally been satisfied. E.W. SC If you have a bad back, the Stay-IN-Play is definitely something you would like. That is the beauty of it. Everything is installed permanently and there is nothing special for you to hookup. You can, if you want to, leave it in the "ON" position or you can turn it "OFF" if you wish. All you have to do is press a switch on the control box. The control box is about the size of a ream of typing paper and is installed under your seat. That's it, nothing to install and/or remove every time you unhook your toad. Text of an email sent on the Bounders Yahoo Group I bought one of your SMI PlugAndPlay brake units last week, at the Bounders Of America rally in Myrtle Beach. As we were driving home on Friday, we hit an instant hailstorm on I-95, about 40 miles from the Virginia border. As we approached a bridge over the interstate, I could see that several cars were pulled off the road, under the bridge (to shelter themselves from the hail). The car in front of me slammed on his brakes to try and fit one more car under the shelter of the bridge. I had nowhere to go. I slammed on my brakes (on a very wet surface) and the SMI assist stopped me before I hit the car. I am so thankful that I bought the brake system. Thanks. R. W. VA I use a supplemental braking system from SMI. The one I have is called "Silent Partner". No connections between coach and toad. Everything is done by wireless links. Preparation for towing is simply to turn on a switch in the small box mounted under the rear seat in the Odyssey. Selected this system because it has a control panel in the RV cockpit which shows when the toad brakes are on (or off) and a sensitivity control. I'm very pleased with this system. Previously had a Brake Buddy. The Alert system never worked on my coach. BB sent me a new Alert system, but it didn't work right either. But my real reason for changing from the Brake Buddy was I found it inconvenient to have to install, remove it each time I traveled. Maybe I'm lazy! Wanted a permanently mounted system with monitoring from the cockpit. At this point, I'm very favorably impressed with the SMI system. F.W.
